Reminders for on-demand yoga classes
set yourself up for class
Undoubtably, on-demand classes offer you the flexibility to take a class at your convenience, wherever you may be. Before class, take a moment to prepare your space and make room for your yoga mat, ensuring you have ample space for your practice.
During class, I will provide verbal cues while simultaneously demonstrating the poses, so feel free to arrange your device in a way that suits your preferences for both seeing and hearing me clearly.
Additionally, each on-demand class includes a playlist tailored to the theme of the yoga flow. So you can set up your music to your preferred volume using the device of your choice.
what you'll need for class
A yoga mat and water.
Also, if you’d like: towel, yoga blocks, blanket
props are strongly encouraged
Ultimately, props are great tools for your yoga practice. When you click the on-demand class, you’ll see which props I’ll use in class. Generally for all classes, I use 2 blocks and a blanket. So if you need creative prop ideas for your home practice, for blocks you can use books or sturdy shoe boxes and for a yoga blanket, a throw blanket works perfect.
Also, I occasionally use a strap or bolster.
spiritual lineage acknowledgement
As a yoga teacher, I deeply respect yoga’s Indian and African roots. Additionally, I appreciate the wisdom of my instructors who’ve shared the practice’s rich history and its connection to social justice. Accordingly I’m committed to preserving yoga’s traditions while ensuring it’s accessible and inclusive for all. This dedication to learning and growth extends not only to my role as a practitioner but also as a teacher.
Lastly, I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity to share this practice, as it allows me to create a space where all students can feel seen, heard, and valued.
